Description

Human Capital Business Solutions is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize electrical systems and automation in the company. The role ensures reliable power supply, efficient operation of production equipment, minimal downtime, compliance with safety standards, and contribution to cost reduction through energy management and system improvements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, specify, and oversee installation of electrical systems, power distribution, MCCs, transformers, generators, UPS, and lighting across the plant.
  • Lead troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of complex electrical faults in industrial equipment (motors, inverters, PLCs, HMIs, control panels, instrumentation, sensors) to restore production swiftly and safely.
  • Perform preventive or predictive maintenance planning, condition monitoring (thermal imaging, vibration analysis where electrical-related), and reliability improvements for electrical assets to achieve high equipment availability in continuous operations.
  • Develop and update electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, control logic, and technical specifications; ensure documentation is current.
  • Support automation and control systems (PLC programming) for production lines, including process optimization and modifications.
  • Conduct electrical load studies, power quality analysis, and energy audits; recommend measures for efficiency, reduced consumption, and power factor improvement.
  • Lead or participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical-related issues.
  • Manage electrical projects including budgeting, contractor supervision, commissioning, and handover.
  • Train technicians and operators on electrical safety, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, production, quality, and procurement teams to resolve cross-functional issues and support new process trials.
  • Participate in standby roster for plant emergencies in a 24/7 production environment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of post-qualification experience in electrical engineering/maintenance in heavy industrial manufacturing (steel/metal processing)
  • Proven Experience on use of SAP ERP or related.
  • Proven hands-on experience with industrial power systems (three-phase 400V+), motor controls, VFDs, PLC automation, and electrical project execution.
  • Strong safety consciousness — expert in electrical hazard identification, arc flash prevention, LOTO, risk assessment, and safe work practices in high-risk industrial settings.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex electrical faults under pressure.
  • Solid knowledge of power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and industrial standards (IEC, IEEE).
  • Project management abilities, including planning, budgeting, and contractor coordination.
  • Analytical mindset for data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office; ERP/CMMS experience advantageous).
