What is your role?
To carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities across the plant, ensuring uninterrupted electrical supply and supporting safe, efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Electrical Maintenance; Carry out preventive, corrective, and utility maintenance in both production and non-production areas to ensure reliable operation of all electrical systems.
- Respond Promptly to Maintenance Requests; Address electrical faults and breakdowns swiftly to minimize production downtime and ensure continuous utility services.
- Support Projects from the Electrical Side; Participate in plant improvement or expansion projects by handling all electrical-related tasks, including equipment installation and wiring.
- Supervise Utility Equipment; Oversee generator engines, electrical panels, and related systems to ensure stable power supply and efficient operation.
- Monitor Electricity Supply & Usage; Track electricity consumption, manage fuel use for generators, and review performance data of electrical equipment for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Escalate Electrical Issues, Report persistent or critical electrical problems to the Maintenance Manager or Section Head for further action.
- Ensure Readiness of Electrical Tools & Equipment; Maintain electrical maintenance tools in good condition, ensuring they are always available and safe for use.
- Maintain Work Area Cleanliness & Safety; Keep the work environment tidy, safe, and compliant with electrical safety standards to avoid hazards.
- Apply Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Procedures; Follow and enforce all HSE protocols, report unsafe acts or conditions, and ensure self-safety and others during all tasks.
- Emergency Preparedness; Ensure availability and functionality of emergency response equipment in electrical maintenance zones.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or its equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Feed production
- Familiar with the feed industry.
