The Board of Governors Kyebambe Girl's Scondary School is located in Fortportal City-Kabarole District Western Uganda invites qualified and competent applicants for the following:
Job Purpose
To equip students with entrepreneurial knowledge, practical business skills, financial literacy, creativity and an enterprising mindset that enables them to identify opportunities, solve problems and prepare for future employment or self-employment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The teacher will:
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Deliver Entrepreneurship lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Teach students concepts relating to entrepreneurship, business, finance and enterprise development.
- Use practical examples and case studies to connect classroom learning to real-life business situations.
- Organise practical entrepreneurial activities and student business projects.
- Develop students’ skills in budgeting, saving, financial management and business planning.
- Encourage innovation, creativity and problem-solving.
- Guide students in identifying business opportunities and developing viable business ideas.
- Conduct continuous assessment and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ performance.
- Provide remedial teaching and individual support where required.
- Participate in entrepreneurship clubs and school enterprise activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote practical and interdisciplinary learning.
- Support career guidance and employability initiatives.
- Participate in school duties and other activities assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- A recognised Diploma or Degree in Education with Entrepreneurship/Business-related subjects.
- Relevant professional registration where applicable.
Experience
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in entrepreneurship, business development or enterprise projects is an advantage.
Key Competencies
- Strong knowledge of entrepreneurship and business concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Practical and innovative approach to teaching.
- Ability to mentor and motivate students.
- Strong financial literacy.
- Good organisational and analytical skills.
- Ability to use learner-centred and experiential learning approaches.
