Background
Advocate for Community Development and Environmental Protection (ACODEP) is recruiting for an upcoming multi-sectoral initiative focused on women’s participation in environmental peacebuilding, climate action, GBV/SGBV prevention, human rights protection, and environmental justice.
FINANCIAL & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
1 Position | 2-Year Renewable Contract
Job Summary
The Financial & Administration Manager will oversee ACODEP's financial management, accounting, budgeting, administration, internal controls, and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial and administrative operations.
- Prepare and monitor organisational and programme budgets.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Prepare financial reports for management and donors.
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, donor requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Manage cash flow, payments, banking, and financial reconciliations.
- Coordinate audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and accountability systems.
- Support procurement and asset-management processes.
- Maintain accurate records of organisational assets and resources.
- Supervise finance and administrative support staff.
- Provide management with financial analysis and advice.
- Ensure proper filing and secure storage of financial and administrative records.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in financial and administrative management, preferably within an NGO or development organisation.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and leadership skills.
