Head Chef

The Head Chef is the leader of the kitchen, responsible for menu creation, staff management, food quality, and overall kitchen operations.

Culinary Leadership & Menu Development

• Design and develop menus, including daily specials, seasonal offerings, and new dishes, ensuring variety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Create and standardize recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation across all dishes.
• Stay updated on culinary trends and introduce new techniques and dishes to enhance the menu.
• Calculate food costs and set menu prices in collaboration with management.

Kitchen Operations Management

• Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, ensuring consistency and high standards.
• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of all food orders during service.
• Coordinate kitchen workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and control food costs to maintain profitability.
• Liaise with suppliers and procurement to ensure timely delivery of quality ingredients.

Staff Management & Development

• Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and stewards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and disciplined kitchen culture.
• Train staff on new techniques, recipes, and safety procedures.
