Position Summary
The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the hotel, ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality guest services, financial performance, staff supervision, and compliance with company standards and policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Supervise and coordinate all departmental heads and hotel staff.
- Manage hotel budgets, financial reports, and cost control measures.
- Ensure high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and customer care.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery.
- Develop marketing and sales strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements.
- Recruit, train, and appraise hotel staff.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, and staff management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets.
- Computer literacy in hotel management systems is an added advantage.
