Description
Movit Products is hiring an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of Movit’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity framework. This role ensures the high availability, performance, resilience, and security of critical business systems — including but not limited to SAP ERP, manufacturing operations, and corporate applications — while strengthening the overall security posture and supporting the company’s digital transformation agenda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management
- Design, manage, and optimize IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage, cloud environments, endpoints, and data centers.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of systems supporting manufacturing, SAP S/4HANA, and business operations.
- Oversee relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and support contracts to ensure value for money and service excellence.
- Lead disaster recovery (DR), backup strategies, and business continuity planning, including regular testing and improvement.
Information Security & Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
- Protect company systems, data, and digital assets from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
- Manage security tools and technologies (firewalls, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability scanning, etc.).
- Conduct regular security risk assessments, audits, penetration testing, MTTR, Phishing simulations, Cybersecurity awareness programs, vulnerability closure SLA and incident response.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards (e.g., Uganda Data Protection Act, ISO 27001).
- IT security training for business users and IT teams
- Post-incident RCA and continuous improvement
Team Leadership & Operations
- IT infrastructure & security roadmap (3-year vision)
- Third-party security compliance
- SaaS / cloud vendor security reviews
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Infrastructure and Security team.
- IT infrastructure & security budget ownership
- CapEx vs OpEx planning
- Cost optimization initiatives (cloud, licensing, vendor rationalization)
- Budget savings and optimization targets
- Establish and improve ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
- IT-OT security convergence
- Support internal and external audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives.
- Work closely with business units, manufacturing, and application teams to align IT services with business priorities.
Microsoft 365 & Workplace Technology
- Manage M365 identity and access using Azure AD / Entra ID.
- Implement and enforce security controls such as Conditional Access, MFA, and device compliance.
- Support collaboration, productivity, and information governance across M365 services.
- Oversee endpoint management using Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Identify and drive initiatives to modernize infrastructure (cloud migration, automation, optimization).
- Enhance the organization’s cybersecurity maturity and resilience.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes, and security controls.
Financial Management
Risk Management
- Identify the department’s risks, their various mitigations and keep track of them.
Compliance
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or ERP-heavy environment (especially SAP) is a strong advantage.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, ITIL, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001) are an added advantage.
