Job Description

Execute weekly physical stock counts across regional outlets, enforce First In, First Out (FIFO) stock rotation, and rigorously verify damage claims.

Safeguard stock accuracy, traceability, and product integrity by identifying variances and preventing expired or damaged goods from reaching consumers.

Provide verified inventory data and support audit readiness to strengthen supply chain cost control and operational compliance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform weekly physical inventory counts at regional outlets using approved audit methods and sampling plans.
• Audit First In, First Out (FIFO) product rotation across storage locations to prevent stock aging and obsolescence.
• Verify, investigate, and document customer and outlet damage claims against physical evidence before sign off.
• Identify, log, and report inventory discrepancies, variances, and non conforming goods for root cause analysis.
• Maintain complete, traceable, and legible stock audit sheets, variance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Inspect storage hygiene, stock handling practices, and occupational safety measures across all audited locations.
• Prepare regional outlets for internal and external audits, including UNBS and statutory food safety inspections.
• Escalate significant inventory losses, data integrity gaps, and repeated non conformances promptly to supply chain management.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Ordinary/Higher Diploma in Accounting, Stores Management, or Procurement.
• Bachelor's Degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, or National Diploma in Food Science and Technology, Food Processing Technology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Laboratory Science, Environmental Health, Public Health, Quality Management, Packaging Technology, Agriculture, Applied Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Professional certifications in HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, food safety, internal auditing, or laboratory quality systems are an added advantage.

Experience

• 1+ year in stock control or inventory auditing.
