About Uganda Tourism Board

Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), is a statutory organization established by Uganda Tourism Board Statute of 1994 and reconstituted in the Tourism Act 2008 with the following Statutory Objectives:

VISION: The center of excellence in destination management in Africa.

MISSION: To sustainably promote Uganda as a competitive tourist destination for inclusive development.

CORE VALUES: Professionalism, Integrity, Teamwork, Innovativeness, Sustainability

Main purpose of the job

To effectively represent UTB, prosecute and defend cases for and against UTB in courts of law and quasi-judicial bodies.

To give legal advice, draft contracts/agreements/MOUs and assist the Manager in conducting Board Affairs

Minimum qualifications and certifications

Bachelor of Laws with honors (LLB) from a recognised and reputable University,

Postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice (Dip LP),

Certificate of Enrolment as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda,

Valid Practicing Certificate.

At least 3 years of relevant post-enrollment experience

  • Demonstrable experience in case management, litigation and Court practice
