Description

Stanbic Bank Uganda is hiring a Manager – Home Loans to lead and grow the Home Loan business by delivering the bank’s annual mortgage targets, ensuring product competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and portfolio quality and an excellent client experience. The role involves strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and team development to position the bank as a market leader in home financing.Uganda job market

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the mortgage business strategy aligned with the bank’s retail banking goals. Deliver of the bank’s annual mortgage disbursement and revenue targets through focused execution and innovation.
  • Design and refine mortgage products tailored to various customer segments. Ensure products are competitive, compliant, and aligned with market trends.
  • Monitor and manage the mortgage loan book to ensure growth, profitability, and quality. Track KPIs including disbursements, NPL ratios, and customer acquisition.
  • Drive mortgage sales through branches, digital platforms, and strategic partnerships. Set and monitor performance targets for sales teams and channels.
  • Ensure mortgage products and processes adhere to both regulatory and internal risk frameworks. Collaborate with Credit, Risk, and Compliance teams to maintain portfolio integrity and mitigate risks. Oversee credit assessment standards and ensure robust due diligence
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders including property developers, real estate agents, valuers, legal firms, and insurance providers.

Qualifications

  • First Degree Finance and Accounting or related from a recognised Institution
  • Masters Degree Business Commerce is preferred
  • 8-10 years experience in the field of home loans and related products.
  • Experience in specilaist lending and specifically in managing sales teams.
  • Experience in developing and managing senior and executive level relationships with external parties and business partners is absolutely essential.
