BRIEF ROLE SUMMARY

Role: Network & IT Security Officer

Department: Information Communication Technology (ICT)

Reports to: Head of ICT & Business Technology

Location: Bank Headquarters- Kampala

Status: Open role

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the bank's ICT infrastructure and information assets through effective network administration, monitoring, and implementation of IT security controls.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Professional certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA +.(added advantage).

At least 3–5 years of experience in network administration and IT security in a financial institution or regulated environment.

Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, routing protocols, and network monitoring tools (e.g.FortiAnalyzer, SIEM).

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ITIL).

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: bachelor degree
