Responsibilities
- Perform all maintenance tasks on electrical equipment and systems as per requirements and give correct feedback on the findings.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment and systems in minimal time.
- Install and test plant equipment and electrical systems in accordance to approved electrical standards and requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for all equipment failures. Generate and implement correct action plans towards elimination of the problem.
- Monitor operation and condition of electrical equipment and systems. Identify and fix defects or report defects on time to the Electrical supervisor/ Officer or Engineer for appropriate actions.
- Operate and maintain electrical power equipment and switch gears e.g., Generators, Power Changeovers, Switch gears, Stabilizers, etc.
- Prepare and plan for assigned job execution. Arrange for materials/ spares, tools, and others necessary for job execution.
- Improve electrical equipment and systems through continuous innovations.
- Optimize usage of spares/ materials.
- Use and care for tools and testing equipment like Multi-meters, Screwdrivers etc.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in work processes in order to have a safe and healthy working environment.
- Comply with all relevant safety rules and procedures at workplace during job execution.
- Log all jobs and relevant information in the Shift Log Book.
- Perform any other duties assigned to by the Electrical Supervisor/ Officer/ Engineer/ Manager.
Qualifications
- Preferably Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.
Experience
- 3 years’ experience in Electrical from a manufacturing industrial set up.
Skills
- Excellent knowledge on VFDs, Basic PLCs, Electrical controls, Motors, Motor controls etc.
- Excellent knowledge on equipment maintenance and installations.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use common problem-solving tools like 5WHY etc
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals and other electrical drawings.
- Ability to use test equipment and tools like insulation tester, Multi meter etc for fault-finding.
- Possess good communication and customer service skills.
- Possess good interpersonal skills.
- Proactiveness.
- Excellent team player and ability to manage time efficiently.
- Knowledge on Electrical safety.
