Greenhill Academy Kibuli invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and responsible candidates for the following positions: POOL ATTENDANT.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Maintain the swimming pool and surrounding areas in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
  • Monitor the pool area and ensure compliance with established safety procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate pool hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ensure swimming equipment is properly stored, maintained and available when required.
  • Report any safety hazards, equipment faults or incidents promptly.
  • Support the Swimming Coach and school staff in maintaining a safe swimming environment.
  • Ensure that learners and other pool users follow established pool rules and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties related to the safe and effective management of the swimming pool as assigned.
  • Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
  • Relevant training or experience in pool management, lifeguarding, recreation or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience working in a swimming pool or similar environment.
  • Basic knowledge of pool safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible, attentive and physically fit.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and school staff.
  • First Aid and CPR certification will be an added advantage.

Experience needed

Previous experience working in a swimming pool or similar environment.
