On behalf of its client, Elysian Strategic Solutions is recruiting a highly organized, self-driven, and experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations in the Furniture Department.

Job Summary

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the entire furniture production process. The role ensures strict compliance with quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production targets, workplace health and safety requirements, and the efficient utilization of production resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Supervision: Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily furniture production operations.
• Quality & SOP Enforcement: Ensure all furniture products meet established quality standards and customer specifications. Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, coach, and evaluate production staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Schedule & Delivery Management: Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion and delivery of customer orders.
• Asset & Material Optimization: Oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and accountability of workshop machinery, tools, and equipment. Optimize material utilization, minimize production waste, and improve operational efficiency.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce occupational health and safety standards within the production environment.
• Reporting & Coordination: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and performance updates. Coordinate with procurement, stores, and management to ensure uninterrupted production activities.

Qualifications, Experience & Key Competencies

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in furniture manufacturing or production management with supervisory responsibilities.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of furniture production processes, quality control systems, production planning, and proficiency in production reporting and workshop operations.
