JOB DETAILS:

Background:

Iles de Paix is a Belgian non-government and non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable development. Iles de Paix has an office in Uganda, Fort Portal and runs programs in Kabarole district.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and monitor inter-connected projects,
• Provide hands-on capacity support for partners and their dedicated teams,
• Fine-tune and operationalize suitable strategies and oversee the technical aspects of the current and future programs,
• Lead and evaluate project officers and other staff,
• Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities,
• Apply change, risk, and resource management.

Qualifications:

• University-level degree; post-graduate or master’s degree in relevant field (agriculture, natural Resource Management, … ) will be an added advantage,
• At least 5 years proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position,
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods,
• Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles,
• Affinity with Agro ecology and sustainable food systems approach,
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office,
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills,
• Excellent communication skills,
• Excellent problem-solving ability.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: bachelor degree
