Responsibilities or duties
- Supervise all on-site project activities and workforce.
- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Monitor contractor and labor performance.
- Assist in planning and scheduling of project tasks.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned project milestones.
- Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment required for operations.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of works and installations.
- Report and rectify defects or non-conformities.
- Enforce safety rules and company policies on-site.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers.
- Report and investigate incidents or near misses.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Track work progress against project schedules.
- Report issues, delays, and risks to the Officers.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other departments.
- Support Officers in project reviews and meetings.
- Ensure smooth communication between site and management.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Supervise labor allocation and productivity.
- Ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
- Perform any other duties assigned to by the Engineering Officers.
Qualifications or requirements
- Preferably Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Strong leadership and supervision skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Time management and organization
Experience needed
- 3–5 years of experience in project/site supervision.
- Experience in industrial or infrastructure projects is an advantage
