Psychiatric Male Nurse

Location: Fort Portal City

Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Male Nurses to provide quality nursing care and support to male patients in a rehabilitation centre. The successful candidates will assist with patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring of mental health conditions, counselling support, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing rehabilitation.
• Monitor patients’ physical and mental health and report changes appropriately.
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate patient records.
• Support patients with daily activities and rehabilitation programmes.
• Assist in managing challenging behaviours and maintaining a safe environment.
• Work closely with doctors, counsellors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards.

Requirements:

• Qualified and licensed/registered nurse.
• Good communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with psychiatric and rehabilitation patients.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience is an added advantage.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
