Registered Nurse at RCS Consult

To provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with professional standards, medical protocols, and the healthcare facility’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Provide direct nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
    • Monitor patient progress and document observations in medical records.
    • Assist in managing patient emergencies and coordinate with physicians and specialists.
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Maintain accurate patient records and prepare required reports.
    • Support infection prevention and control procedures.
    • Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist during examinations.
    • Perform wound dressing, IV insertion, catheterization, and other nursing procedures.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
    • Liaise with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
    • Participate in ward rounds and case discussions.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Adhere to national and facility-specific health and safety regulations.
    • Ensure patient confidentiality and ethical medical practices.
    • Follow Ministry of Health and Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered and licensed with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).
  • Valid practicing license.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support certification is an added advantage.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Computer literacy is an added advantage.
