Village Enterprise works to end extreme poverty in rural Africa through entrepreneurship, innovation, and collective action. Since 1987, we have implemented a highly refined and locally led Graduation Program in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia, with business training, mentoring, and seed funding. We support first-time rural entrepreneurs to create sustainable businesses and savings groups, enabling families to break the cycle of poverty.
To improve training quality, scale, and accessibility, Village Enterprise is developing localized digital learning content to complement our in-person training. This initiative focuses on producing instructional training videos in Acholi and Ateso languages based on our existing curriculum for entrepreneurs in rural Uganda.
These videos will support low-literacy adult learners and will be optimized for offline delivery and viewing through tablets and other low-bandwidth devices.
The content will teach practical business skills including:
Business group formation and teamwork
Recordkeeping and savings
Budgeting and financial planning
Basic enterprise operations and growth
Village Enterprise seeks videographers or video production firms to:
