Application
We are looking for a Stock Controller to manage inventory, deliver exceptional customer service, and oversee shop operations at our M-KOPA depot/shop locations across our markets.
This role offers the opportunity to be at the frontline of M-KOPA's retail operations, ensuring smooth inventory flow and world-class customer experiences. You'll manage daily stock operations that keep thousands of devices moving efficiently to field agents and customers, working as part of our dynamic retail team across Africa.

At M-KOPA, our retail operations aren't just about managing stock—they're critical touchpoints in our customer journey and the foundation that enables our field teams to succeed.
In this role, you would be responsible for:
Inventory Management
- Conducting daily stock counts by scanning available IMEIs and sharing results with the audit team for reconciliation
- Allocating stock to M-KOPA DSRs each day and following up via phone to retrieve allocated devices that have been in the field for extended periods
- Ensuring inventory is securely stored in appropriate lockers or store areas
- Receiving stock from the main warehouse within expected timelines
- Returning stock to the warehouse promptly when required
- Adhering to established stock management policies
Customer Service
- Assisting customers with the upgrade process during their visits to the shop
- Resolving customer inquiries in person and logging them in our system
- Escalating concerns that cannot be resolved to the responsible team
- Adhering to phone and customer service processes
- Being available at the shop/depot before 8:00 am for all working days
Outlet/Shop Management
- Maintaining a clean and clutter-free shop environment at all times
- Keeping the store/locker well-labeled based on standards
- Ensuring depot/shop signage is always up and clean
This is an entry-level role (Job Band E2) based at M-KOPA Depot/Shop locations. If successful, you would be reporting to the Regional Retail Team Leader.

- Multitasking abilities and strong organizational skills
- Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Computer literacy and comfort with technology systems
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in any field from a recognized university

- Reliability and punctuality for early morning operations
- Ability to follow established procedures and policies
