Multilines International Ltd is a premier regional and international freight forwarding and logistics company headquartered in Uganda. With over two decades of experience, the company provides specialized logistics solutions, including sea freight, air freight, road transport, customs clearance, and warehousing.
To position itself for accelerated growth and enhanced operational efficiency, Multilines seeks to develop a robust 3-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2028) that will define its direction and competitive edge in a rapidly evolving logistics and trade landscape.
The consultancy aims to lead the research, design, and facilitation of a strategic planning process to produce an innovative, forward-looking, and results-oriented Strategic Plan for Multilines International Ltd.
The consultant will:
Conduct a diagnostic of Multilines’ current strategic positioning, business model, internal capacity, and external operating environment.
Benchmark operations against regional and global logistics industry best practices.
Perform a comprehensive risk analysis (market dynamics, regulatory shifts, operational risks).
Facilitate strategic workshops with board members, executive management, and key staff.
Engage stakeholders (clients, regulators, partners, trade bodies).
Identify market trends, growth opportunities (e.g., green logistics, vertical/horizontal integration).
Propose strategic avenues (market diversification, operational excellence, technology adoption).
Draft a 3-Year Strategic Plan with objectives, targets, resource needs, and timelines.
Develop a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework.
Design a Strategic Scorecard/Dashboard aligned with KPIs.
Create a Change Management and Communication Plan.
Present the final strategy to the Board for approval.
Inception Report (approach, methodology, timeline).
Strategic Report (diagnostic analysis, workshop insights).
Draft and Final 3-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2028).
Strategic Scorecard/Dashboard.
Change Management and Communication Plan.
Board Presentation Materials.
Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain strategy.
Minimum 10 years in corporate strategy development, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Expertise in operational efficiency, market expansion, risk management, and digital transformation.
Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Advanced degree in International Business, Trade, Logistics, or related fields.
The consultant will report to the Board of Directors and collaborate with the Strategy Committee and Executive Team. Regular coordination meetings will be held.
