The role of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to ensure efficient recruitment of candidates that fit into our client's business model. By attracting qualified candidates to drive business mission and vision. He/She is an experienced recruiter; proficient at providing current and future talent solutions that are timely and fulfilling to the clients’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Strategy-Developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent that aligns with the company’s goals and values
- Sourcing and selection of potential candidates through several databases e.g. online platforms and professional networks. Screening profiles to assess candidates’ qualifications and fit for the organisation.
- Candidates experience: Ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding, to enhance employer branding and attract top talent.
- Interviewing and selection: Conducting interviews, assessments, and evaluations to select the best candidates for open positions, while ensuring a fair and unbiased selection process
- Collaboration: Working closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand their hiring needs, define job requirements, and provide guidance on recruitment best practices
- Employee branding: Developing and promoting the company’s employer brand to attract and retain top talent, and creating a positive image of the organization as an employer of choice
- Growing and maintaining the approved Applicants Tracker database to ably meet the current and future recruitment needs for both internal and external customers.
- Organizing and attending job fairs and recruiter events.
- Designing job descriptions and employee performance scorecards.
- Carrying out market research on HR trends to ensure competitiveness in the evolving labor market– research may include what competitors the clients are using, what trends are going on in the clients industry and/or business, changes in the company structure or any issues that could boost your strategic account management success.
- Building relationships with relevant industry networks, recruitment agencies, universities and colleges to attract fresh talent.
Competencies Required
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems; familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks like LinkedIn.
- Well-versed in Human resources disciplines including but not limited to employee performance management, policy development and implementation, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations and labor law compliance.
- Strong Relationship Management skills.
- Knowledge of recruitment metrics and proven track record of success in recruiting.
- Requires a proactive individual with great communication skills and ability to engage.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Human Resources or related field required plus a minimum of 2 years professional work experience preferably in talent acquisition in the telecom industry
