Responsibilities or duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the for performing the following duties:-
- Undertaking repairs on assets and properties as directed by the Supervisor;
- Compiling inventory controls for cost effective operations and submitting them to the Supervisor for action;
- Monitoring contractual works and reporting to the Supervisor;
- Alerting Property Manager of any unusual occurrences and/or damages that have taken place or that may occur;
- Installing of meteorological equipment and facilities required for measuring and recording weather parameters in accordance with the National and International requirements;
- Maintaining and repairing meteorological equipment and facilities at aerodromes by ensuring that routine checks are conducted as scheduled;
- Conducting scheduled calibration of meteorological equipment at meteorological stations and offices;
- Maintaining log book for equipment and activities undertaken during the operations with regard to repairs and maintenance;
- Carrying out inventory of equipment, tools and facilities;
- Training users of meteorological equipment and facilities on proper operational use;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Telecommunications; or Electrical Engineering; or Electronic and Mechanical Engineering; or Computer Science; or ICT; or Radio; or Television and Electronics Technician (RTET) part I and part II from a recognized Institution.
