Background

Person Specifications

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or Information Science; a PhD is an added advantage

Experience

• A minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in an academic/university library, at least 3 of which in a supervisory or management role
• Demonstrated experience managing digital libraries, e- resources and library management systems

Skills

• Working knowledge of NCHE library standards for higher-education institutions and international best practice in academic library management
• Proven leadership, budgeting and staff-supervision skills

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 84

Level of Education: postgraduate degree
