GMS School Nabbingo is seeking an Upper Primary Teacher (Primary 4-7) for its Primary School department. The role reports to the Head of Primary / School Principal.

Responsibilities or duties

To deliver high-quality instruction for pupils in Primary 4-7, preparing them academically and socially for secondary education. The teacher will specialize in and teach subjects according to the national curriculum with depth and rigor.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Bachelor of Education (Primary) or a relevant Degree with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).

Must be registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Experience needed

Significant experience teaching in upper primary, with a track record of good results.

• Teach specialized subjects (e.g., Mathematics, English, Science, SST) to upper primary classes.
• Prepare pupils for primary leaving examinations and other assessments.
• Design challenging and differentiated lessons to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Monitor and report on the academic and behavioral progress of each student.
• Provide academic guidance and career counseling to pupils.
• Participate in co-curricular activities and school development programs.
• Liaise with parents regarding student performance and well-being.
