Job Summary

The Van Sales Representative plays a crucial role in expanding our field presence, optimizing route-to-market metrics, and managing primary inventory sales. In this role, you will navigate structured routes to verify stock placement, execute daily stock reconciliations with internal audit teams, manage POS merchandising display standards, and deliver exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reconciliation: Execute daily physical stock counts alongside the Internal Auditor, deposit total cash receipts daily according to finance invoices, and issue exact sales receipts.
  • Route Distribution: Achieve 100% customer visitation targets along designated pathways, plan daily delivery schedules to open new corporate accounts, and deliver products safely.
  • Product Optimization: Maintain 100% SKU availability across all accounts, follow the Shopper Based Design Standard (SBDS) strictly during sales, and execute precise stock rotation on delivery.
  • Relationship Management: Resolve complex customer concerns by investigating problems, formulating actionable solutions, and presenting professional service recommendations to clients.
  • Pricing Integration: Negotiate sales contracts, process purchase orders, secure cash payments, and ensure products are sold at the company's recommended selling price.
  • Merchandising Excellence: Negotiate prime display locations with retailers, optimize shelving, and deploy Point of Sales Materials (POSM) such as posters, banners, and shelf brackets at eye-catching levels.
  • Continuous Training: Participate in performance reviews with your supervisor covering visibility, sales volumes, and core corporate strategic initiatives.

Key Working Relationships

  • Internal Dynamics: Coordinate with Warehouse teams, Invoicing teams, Promoters, Merchandisers, Zonal Managers, and Department Heads (HODs).
  • External Dynamics: Maintain active, professional relations with retail and commercial customers.
  • Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least two (2) or more years of work experience operating in a sales or route-distribution field with a reputable organization.
  • Competencies: Strong negotiation, analytical report writing, effective communication, and basic computer/SFA application skills.
  • Attitude: High integrity, respect for others, teamwork orientation, discrete nature, and ethical professionalism.
