JOB DETAILS:

Background

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Volunteer Graphic Designer to support our communications team in bringing our campaigns to life.

You'll work closely with our Communications lead and and Graphic Designs Lead to design visuals that bring our health, youth, and advocacy work to a wider audience.

What you'll do:

• Design social media graphics (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) for campaigns, events, and recurring content series
• Translate campaign briefs and copy into clean, on-brand visuals
• Support the design of one-pagers, presentation decks, and partnership materials as needed
• Collaborate with the comms team to keep visuals consistent with Wekume's brand guidelines

What we're looking for:

• Experience designing in Canva (a portfolio you can share is required)
• A reliable laptop and smartphone of your own
• Strong eye for layout, color, and typography
• Comfortable taking direction from a brief and iterating based on feedback

Based in Kampala, Uganda, or available to work remotely from anywhere

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
