As a Warehouse Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading and coordinating large-scale warehouse and logistics operations to ensure the seamless flow of goods, equipment, and materials. You will oversee strategic planning, policy development, and operational execution to guarantee accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across the warehouse value chain. The role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership and problem-solving skills, capable of managing vast operations, optimising resources, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Supervision
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the warehouse and logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
    • Coach, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  2. Policy & Process Development
    • Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive warehouse management policies, including: Inventory Management Policy, Warehouse Layout and Organisation Policy among others.
    • Ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and international standards in logistics and warehouse operations.
  3. Operations Management
    • Oversee and coordinate end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfilment, dispatch, and returns.
    • Ensure optimal warehouse layout, space utilisation, and material handling systems to increase efficiency.
    • Monitor and control inventory levels, conduct periodic audits, and ensure system accuracy in inventory management software.
    • Establish and oversee handling protocols for sensitive or hazardous materials.
  4. Logistics & Distribution
    • Design and implement cost-effective transportation and distribution strategies.
    • Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
    • Monitor delivery schedules, optimise transport routes, and ensure timely customer fulfilment.
  5. Performance & Reporting
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including warehouse productivity, delivery performance, cost per shipment, and safety compliance.
    • Analyse operational data and trends to recommend and implement process improvements.
    • Prepare management reports highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities for optimisation.
  6. Risk & Compliance
    • Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards within warehouse operations.
    • Address operational discrepancies and resolve escalated logistics or warehousing issues promptly.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Inventory accuracy (≥ 98%) and stock level efficiency
  • On-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery performance
  • Warehouse productivity (picking, packing, and dispatch accuracy)
  • Transportation cost efficiency per unit shipped
  • Compliance with safety standards and incident reduction
  • Effective warehouse space utilisation
  • Timeliness and quality of operational reporting
  • Customer satisfaction levels on logistics and delivery

Job Requirements

  • Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience managing large-scale warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced warehouse and inventory management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage logistics, freight forwarding, and distribution at scale.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP inventory tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with proven experience using data to improve operations.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and compliance standards in warehouse environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic environment.
