Job Summary
The Wholesale Sales Representative focuses on identifying potential business accounts, driving bulk volume purchases, and securing strong commercial relationships with large-scale buyers and wholesale traders. This role requires high-level negotiation skills, analytical reporting capability, and a focus on maximizing brand visibility and product stocking parameters across wholesale channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Penetration: Identify and secure new high-volume business opportunities, up-sell and cross-sell relevant product lines, and consistently expand the active wholesale client base.
- Stock Management: Achieve 100% visibility for Product Stock Keeping Units (PSKUs) within all outlets according to the Sales and Business Development Strategy (SBDS).
- Inventory Control: Conduct detailed stock-taking before booking new orders to minimize product expirations or over-stocking issues, and supervise assigned merchandisers.
- Financial Tracking: Ensure wholesale outlets adhere to recommended selling prices, follow up on outstanding credit balances, and collect due check payments on time.
- Activation & Merchandising: Launch corporate promotional campaigns, incentivize high wholesale orders during sales offers, and ensure products are displayed prominently.
- Reporting: Generate accurate, analytical sales performance and pipeline reports to identify market trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Customer Care: Cultivate an exceptionally loyal corporate customer base by providing premium service and addressing systemic wholesale complaints efficiently.
Key Working Relationships
- Internal Dynamics: Collaborate with the Invoicing teams, Branch heads, and Department Heads (HODs).
- External Dynamics: Maintain direct, high-value commercial relationships with wholesale clients and corporate buyers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or an equivalent business discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of direct sales and marketing experience, specifically managing wholesale accounts within the FMCG sector.
- Core Competencies: Clear, persuasive communication, strong negotiation skills, analytical report writing, and effective time management.
- Personal Attributes: Positive and assertive posture, high professional integrity, respect for others, and excellent teamwork orientation.
