Job-Title: Coordinator, Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change Adaptation
Job Location: Country Office
Position: 01

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design emergency preparedness and response SOP, plan, guideline and framework for country programme considering
  
• BRAC international plan, strategies, focus and humanitarian standards & principles
  
• Conduct country risk assessment for designing DRR & Emergency Response strategies & implementation of plans considering humanitarian standards & principles
  
• Design, promote, and facilitate capacity development of country programme, local governments, communities and schools to address emergency preparedness and response considering internationally accepted standards & principles
  
• Support team to develop emergency preparedness and responses plan for local governments, communities and schools by considering country situation/crisis and internationally accepted standards & principles

Required qualification & Skills

• Master's degree in social sciences Devpt studies/Disaster Mgt Geography & Environment or related.
  
• At least 3 years‘ experience of relevant experience in emergency response & disaster risk reduction in NGOs/development sectors.
  
• Experience in proposal development, budgets, situational reports, action plans, brief notes & presentations
  
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, skills on self-awareness, culture sensitivity, flexibility, adaptability & resilience
