Eskom Uganda Limited is a subsidiary company of Eskom Enterprises based in South Africa. Our business is operating and maintaining Nalubaale and Kiira hydroelectric Power Stations. Their mission is to be the “Centre of Excellence in Power Concession Management.”

Job Summary: The Mechanical Technician will conduct preventive and corrective works on the mechanical plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Corrective maintenance

• Handle any mechanical plant breakdowns, deviation/notifications
• Carry out pre job briefing
• Take out plant permits and check isolations
• Supervise junior team members during execution of mechanical works.
  Preventative Maintenance
• Handle routine preventive maintenance activities on mechanical plants while ensuring safety of plant, equipment and people.
• Conduct job safety observations
  Modify:
• Handle repairs of plant, modifications and troubleshooting for solutions while ensuring safety of plant, equipment and people.
• Participate in project execution.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Two years of related experience
• Behavioural: Integrity, honesty, trustworthy and professionalism.
• Leadership
• Knowledge of Turbine water ways, work at heights and in confined places
•  Analytical Skill (Interpret engineering sketches and drawing, hydraulic circuits)
