JOB DETAILS:
Roofings Group is the leading manufacturer of quality steel and plastic building products in East Africa. We are Currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated, technically experienced, and competent person, with zeal to perform beyond expectations and excited to Join a (27) years leading steel manufacturer as Production Engineer.
Responsibilities
• Submit daily production reports for the entire machines to Plant Manager.
• Oversee installation of machinery and equipment.
• Ensure the product and process quality meet the required specifications.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
• Plan and organize maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns.
• Report down time and possible trends.
• Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Undertake continuous training and development of Machine Operators and Assistant Machine Operators.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
Required Qualification, Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years’ experience in the same field and similar work environment.
• Good working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
• Should independently determine approach and assign tasks.
• Great understanding of manufacturing processes
• Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
• Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
• Good planning and prioritizing activities.
• Ability to manage group to achieve goals within budget
• Good understanding of Health and Safety practices.
