Job Purpose:
The job is responsible for Supervising and mentoring, and proactively engaging all Relationship Managers to ensure that there is maximum productivity from each Relationship Manager, all individual targets are met and that they maintain quality portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquisition of New to Bank clients to achieve defined sales targets in liabilities and assets to grow the market share in line with the Bank’s strategic direction.
• Ensure deposit mobilization from the portfolio.
• Ensure a steady stream of deals
• Ensure good quality book
• Supervise and provide leadership to all Relationship Managers
• Monitor the teams portfolio and ensure adherence to all covenants by the customers.
• Support Relationship Managers to make monthly and quarterly visits to all borrowed customers in their portfolio and call reports done, reviewed, and copies filed on client’s files
• Conduct monthly performance reviews for each RM.
• Oversee the quality of the portfolio and ensure that demand notices have been sent to clients as per policy
• Review, analyze and confirm documentation submitted by RMS prior to submission for recommendation and approval to the credit committee in line with credit risk procedures
• Submit activity reports to the line manager
• Review and maintain a comprehensive database of existing relationships prospects and establish ways of retaining and growing portfolios in compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures
• Recommend changes required to meet the set targets and customer expectations in line with the Bank’s policy and procedure
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the role Assets

Education.

• Minimum of a University Degree.
• Relationship Management and credit analysis competence.
• Professional qualification in banking e.g. ACIB an added advantage
5-7 years’ working experience in a similar role in the financial services industry,
Key Knowledge and Experience.
• The ideal applicant must hold a Business degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Management or any relevant field from a reputable academic Institution.
• Relevant Practical training in business growth in the financial services sector.
• The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience in a Banking environment with at least 5 years in the Business (Corporate) business function, with managerial experience.
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge in Business Development, Relationship Management.
• The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form in a professional manner is deemed essential.
• Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational, corporate, and cultural boundaries.
• Ability to take clear accountability and focus on delivery of broader corporate goals.
Deep knowledge of Corporate Banking principles, business methodologies and practices.

Job Purpose:
To market the Bank’s products and manage customer relationships with major focus on Trade Finance products through proactive and consultative approaches with the aim of acquiring profitable New business, retaining existing business relationships and maintaining high quality portfolios geared towards realization of the Bank’s mission and vision.

• Manager Assets/Liabilities

Department :
• Business Development

Key Responsibilities:
• Acquisition of profitable new business relationships to achieve defined sales targets with major focus on trade finance to grow the market share in line the Bank’s strategic direction.
• Acquire new to bank trade finance customers to grow the trade finance customer portfolio.
• Grow deposits as per set targets
• Identify business opportunities within the existing portfolio and establish mechanisms of growing customer relationships with the Bank.
• Manage and mine assigned trade finance portfolio and monitor portfolio quality.
• Review, analyse, screen, verify and confirm all the documentation submitted by clients prior to submission for recommendation and approval as per the credit/business process flow.
• Market all Bank products to the market in line with the Bank’s defined segments, set targets and strategic objective.
• Make daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly customer visits and call reports in a bid to monitor and grow the customer base.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean loan portfolio with no facilities being recalled.
• Prepare weekly activity reports and submit them to the Chief Business Officer.
• Grow and support branches with trade finance business.
• Review and maintain a comprehensive database of existing relationships / prospects and establish ways of retaining and growing the trade finance portfolio in compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Recommend changes required to meet the set targets and customer expectations in line with the Bank’s policy and procedure.
• Carry out account plans and annual reviews for all customers within the trade finance Portfolio.
• Cross selling all Bank products.

Education
• A university degree in any field.
• Professional qualification in banking e.g MBA as added advantage.

Experience.

•Not less than 3 years in a similar role, in the banking industry.
