Reporting to the Head Communication and Policy, the Communications and Advocacy advisor will oversee the development of consistent and engaging content for Marie Stopes’ internal and external communications. This will include preparing detailed and informative media reports, articles, press releases, and social media content. They will also support development of marketing materials. He/she will further oversee the production of high-quality content that engages clients and builds brand recognition. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation, written and organizational skills.
He/ She will support the implementation of the Communication and Advocacy strategy and will work collaboratively with channel leads, field staff and implementation partners to standardize and improve communications efforts and raise the profile of MSUG positioning it as the thought and practice leader in Sexual Reproductive Health in Uganda and globally.

-Support the strategic development and implementation of the regional CPE plan, aligned with the global Ignite Framework – objectives, deliverables and KPIs, and owning content and public engagement pieces.
-Ensure planning, budgets and M&E across globally-used systems and core communications areas is developed and implemented, in partnership with the nine field offices - including deliverables and KPIs.
-Lead on internal engagement for EARO, with guidance from Regional CPE Director, and oversee staff-focused communications planning and initiatives with field offices in nine countries.
Public Engagement, Marketing and Media - 40%
