The Field-Based Account Manager – LPG is responsible for driving profitable business growth through customer acquisition, retention, relationship management, and volume development within the LPG business. The role focuses on managing existing customer portfolios, developing distributor and branded reseller networks, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering sales targets in line with Vivo Energy’s commercial strategy.
Responsibilities or duties
Key Deliverables
- Deliver agreed LPG sales, volume, revenue, and margin targets in line with business plans.
- Recruit, develop, and manage LPG customers, distributors, and branded resellers to grow market share and profitability.
- Build strong customer and trade partner relationships through effective account management and regular market engagement.
- Develop and execute customer and distributor business plans aligned with Vivo Energy’s channel strategy.
- Drive adoption of Vivo Energy customer value propositions (CVPs) to enhance customer loyalty, profitability, and competitive advantage.
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends to support business growth.
- Implement sales strategies and initiatives to address performance gaps and maximize sales opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial opportunities effectively to improve business performance and customer value.
- Maintain accurate customer records, distributor management tools, sales reports, and performance tracking systems.
- Monitor distributor performance and support continuous improvement through regular reviews and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with Vivo Energy business principles, HSSE requirements, and company policies across all customer and distributor interactions.
- Support execution of marketing activities and initiatives that connect growth strategies with sales delivery.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably within FMCG, LPG, energy, or a related commercial environment.
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
- Experience developing distributor networks, channels, or trade partnerships.
- Experience in sales planning, market development, and customer value proposition execution.
- Experience leading or influencing teams is desirable.
Technical Competencies

- The incumbent must be comfortable working independently in the field, managing multiple customer relationships, and delivering commercial objectives while maintaining strict adherence to HSSE requirements, company policies, and ethical business practices.
