Role Context

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sustainability Officer to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the long-term viability and impact of MCI's programs and operations. The Sustainability Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies that enhance our financial resilience, operational efficiency, and programmatic effectiveness.

Responsibilities

The Sustainability Officer will be responsible for designing, growing, and stewarding the business systems that sustain MCI and our apprenticeship newsroom. This includes developing innovative revenue streams, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources. The role will involve collaborating with various departments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and implementing strategies to achieve our sustainability goals.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of business development, financial management, and operational strategy. Experience in the non-profit sector or media industry is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. A proven track record in developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives is required.
