Flip Africa is hiring an Accountant to ensure financial integrity and accuracy across the organization by managing bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial needs, and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  • Process accounts payable/receivable, reconcile ledgers and bank statements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Generate financial statements and reports (balance sheets, P&L).
  • Analyze financial data, identify variances, and suggest improvements.
  • Assist with tax filings and compliance to standards and regulations.
  • Maintain precise financial records and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • 2–3 years of proven experience in accounting/finance.
  • Proficient with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Express Accounts) and Excel.
  • Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
