About the role
Purpose
The Agency Lead is responsible for establishing, leading, and growing Kura's agency distribution network to drive business growth, increase Assets Under Management (AUM), expand market reach, and strengthen customer acquisition. The role provides strategic leadership for agency recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, compliance, and operational effectiveness while ensuring the agency network consistently delivers exceptional client service and meets business targets.
Responsibilities
Agency Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and implement the agency growth strategy aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Design and oversee the agency distribution model.
- Develop annual business plans, budgets, and growth forecasts for the agency network.
- Identify new markets and expansion opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the agency function.
Agency Recruitment and Expansion
- Develop strategies for recruiting high-performing financial advisors and agency partners.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new agencies and individual agents.
- Build a geographically diversified agency network.
- Develop succession and retention plans for agency leaders.
- Ensure all recruitment processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Agency Performance Management
- Set individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor agency productivity and profitability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews.
- Implement coaching and corrective action where necessary.
- Develop incentive programmes to improve productivity and retention.
- Drive achievement of Assets Under Management (AUM), sales, and revenue targets.
Training and Capability Development
- Develop structured onboarding programmes for new agents.
- Coordinate continuous professional development.
- Deliver training on investment products, compliance, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Mentor Agency Managers and emerging leaders.
Sales and Business Development
- Drive acquisition of new investors.
- Grow institutional and retail investment portfolios through the agency channel.
- Build relationships with strategic partners and referral networks.
- Support product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling investment solutions.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to Capital Markets Authority (CMA) regulations and company policies.
- Monitor compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
- Address compliance breaches promptly.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Promote ethical sales practices throughout the agency network.
Client Relationship Management
- Promote high standards of customer service across the agency network.
- Resolve escalated client complaints.
- Monitor client satisfaction and retention.
- Strengthen long-term relationships with key investors and strategic clients.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the departmental budget.
- Monitor agency costs and profitability.
- Recommend commission structures and incentive schemes.
- Analyse return on investment for agency initiatives.
Reporting
Prepare periodic reports covering:
- Agency recruitment
- Active agents
- Assets Under Management (AUM)
- Revenue performance
- Sales pipeline
- Client acquisition
- Retention rates
- Productivity metrics
- Compliance status
- Market intelligence
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, agency management, wealth management, banking, insurance or investment management, including at least 1 year in a senior leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
