Overview

An Agronomist will be responsible for providing technical guidance on crop production and soil management to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability. The role will involve advising on best farming practices, monitoring crops and soils, managing pests and diseases, supporting irrigation and fertilizer use, and promoting environmentally sound and efficient agricultural methods.

Specific Skills

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1–3 years of experience in agricultural fieldwork, sales support, or customer-facing roles.

Experience working with farmers, distributors, or in promotional activities is a plus.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDEGE/SKILLS

Basic knowledge of crop protection products and farm activities.

Ability to explain product use and benefits in a simple, clear manner.

Basic record-keeping skills and ability to use mobile apps (if applicable).

Familiarity with local farming practices.

COMPETENCES/ SKILLS

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Teamwork and collaboration with Sales Representatives.

Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibility and discipline in executing visits. Customer orientation and reliability.

Responsible For

Visit farmers and dealers to promote our products and explain their benefits in a simple, clear way.

Follow up liquidation action plan at dealer

Support the Territory Manager during field visits by reinforcing key product messages.

Help organize and run product demos, field days, and local farmer events.

Set up and maintain promotional materials (banners, posters, samples) at events and retail

Share basic market feedback (what farmers say, what competitors are doing) with the Sales and Marketing teams.

Provide record visit details and activities to the TM to record it at the system.

Follow the plan given by the Marketing Manager/Territory Manager and work closely with them to meet goals.

High school diploma required.Technical degree or coursework in Agronomy, Agricultural Sales, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
