Application for a Transmission Licence for the Construction and Operation of the Tilenga Transmission Line

In accordance with Section 33 of the Electricity Act, Cap. 157, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) has received an Application from TOTALENERGIES EP UGANDA. The company seeks a licence to construct, operate and own the proposed 95km 6ékV transmission line for the transmission of electricity from the Tilenga Central Processing Facility in Bullisa District to the Kaboale Electrical Hub in Holma District for their own use.

The GPS coordinates in WGS 1984 UTM Zone 36N for the specific take-off and termination site locations of the proposed transmission line are as follows:

Interested persons are invited to inspect the Application/Notice from the addresses below: -

2. ERA Western Region Office, Piot 7, Gatli Road, Mbarara City

3. The Offices of the RDCs, LCV Chairpersons and Chief Administrative Officers for the Districts of Bullisa and Holma

Pursuant to Section 35 of the Electricity Act, the Authority invites directly affected parties, public agencies, authorities, and individuals in the project-affected areas to submit written objections or comments regarding the project. Submissions can be made by post, hand delivery, email, or other recorded delivery methods to the Authority at the address provided below or via email: secretary@era.go.ug. All submissions must be received not later than 30 (Thirty) days from the date of publication of this Notice.
