Job Description

Assemble secondary plastic crates, cardboard trays, and divider inserts to support continuous bottle packing line operations.

Deliver reliable packaging output by following standard assembly sequences, quality parameters, and plant safety practices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble secondary plastic crates, cardboard trays, and divider inserts according to production instructions.
• Operate assigned line stations or manual assembly setups using approved start up, operational, changeover, and shutdown procedures.
• Check work areas and confirm that materials, safety guards, and tools are properly positioned before running the line.
• Perform visual, alignment, count, and dimensional checks on assembled trays and crates.
• Perform adjustments strictly within authorized limits and request technical support when specialized maintenance is required.
• Isolate defective packaging materials promptly to prevent downstream packing delays or defects.
• Execute cleaning, sanitation, and changeover clearances to keep the station organized and free from cross contamination.
• Complete shift logs, checklists, and material records accurately and legibly at the time checks are performed.
• Comply with occupational health, food safety, hygiene, and personal protective equipment regulations.

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE / S.4) or Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE / S.6)
• National Certificate, Craft Certificate, Technical Trade Certificate, Ordinary Diploma, National Diploma, or relevant TVET qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Food Processing, Production Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, Applied Sciences, Printing Technology, or related technical disciplines

Experience

No prior work experience required.

Includes 1 week of onboarding training.
