Description

Flip Africa is hiring a detail-oriented, trustworthy Cashier to manage all financial transactions at our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be the face of our establishment, ensuring every guest has a smooth and pleasant checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers warmly as they approach the cashier station.
• Accurately process all types of transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile money.
• Issue receipts and provide correct change to customers.
• Accurately tally and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier area and point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist with customer inquiries, provide information on menu items, and resolve any billing issues or disputes.
• Collaborate with the waiters and bar attendants to ensure all orders are correctly billed.
• Help with other administrative tasks or duties as assigned by the management.
• Follow all company policies and security procedures regarding cash handling.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role.
• Strong numerical and cash-handling skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, such as cash registers and POS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
