Chief Electrical Engineer

Job description
The Chief Electrical Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all electrical engineering activities including electronics, telecommunications and power supply systems. He / She will coordinate the production of electrical working drawings and specifications for all projects. The incumbent must be capable of demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Assures that electrical engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, local codes and energy standards, client requirements, and corporate objectives.
• Responsible for the quality of work and productivity of the electrical engineering section
• Safeguard that Electrical & Automation works are executed according to contract specifications and design directives
• Make purchase specifications and bill of quantities as required for the project execution
• Make project-specific design and design packages
• Develop Electrical & Automation solutions for the clients
• Ensures financial management for electrical engineering activities within the established budgets

Qualifications
• BSc. in Electrical/Automation/Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering registration

Skills and experience
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in Electrical & Automation project engineering on a major infrastructure project out of which three (3) years should be at a supervisory level
• Knowledge of Medium voltage system, Low voltages systems, DC systems, and Protection relays
• Knowledge of power generation and power grids
• Being self-going, having team working skills, motivation to learn and grow professionally and willingness to travel as well as the ability to understand and work with diverse cultures
