Position Brief: Communications Strategist

The UPROOT project is a pivotal part of our mission, focusing on measuring the progress countries have achieved in ending AIDS, particularly in aspects that significantly impact young people. The project operates through the UPROOT Youth-led Scorecards, a community-led monitoring tool that gathers qualitative and quantitative data. This initiative, supported by The PACT and Y+ Global with backing from UNAIDS, has been instrumental since its first phase from 2017 to 2020.

Position: Communications Strategist for #UPROOT Project

Responsibilities:
As the Communications Strategist, you will be responsible for:
• Developing and executing communication strategies to effectively disseminate the findings of the #UPROOT Scorecards.
• Engaging with youth networks and various stakeholders to amplify the project's impact and reach.
• Crafting compelling narratives and advocacy materials to promote the project's objectives and outcomes.
• Collaborating with the project team to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in communications or related role.
• Strong understanding of advocacy and youth engagement strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
• Passion for youth empowerment and global health issues.

Work Hours: 8

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
