To analyze complex datasets and provide data-driven insights to support decision
making and enhance the operational effectiveness of the Authority.
2. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Collect, process, and analyse large datasets to generate actionable insights.
ii. Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical tools to address organizational challenges.
iii. Design and build data pipelines for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
iv. Apply machine learning techniques to detect patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
v. Collaborate with departments to identify data requirements and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
vi. Visualize data findings through dashboards, charts, and presentations to facilitate decision-ma
viii.Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with established standards.
ix. Contribute to the development of policies and strategies for leveraging data within the Authority.
x. Prepare and submit reports on data science initiatives and projects.
3. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
A. Qualifications
i. Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
ii. Professional certification in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
B. Experience
i. No experience required
C. Competencies
i. Knowledge and understanding of the Authority’s vision, mission, and objectives.
ii. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
iii. Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
iv. Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
v. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib).
vi. Ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets accurately.
vii. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
viii.Excellent communication and presentation skills.
ix. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to solve data-related challenges. x. Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and ethical standards
