Role Overview
As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving customer acquisition by onboarding small and medium businesses onto the KauntaBook platform. You will play a key role in expanding our market presence and supporting business growth across Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
1) Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and approach potential SME clients in assigned areas
- Generate leads through field visits, referrals, and networking
- Pitch and demonstrate KauntaBook solutions to prospects
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
2) Client Onboarding & Support
- Guide new customers through onboarding and setup
- Provide basic product training and support
- Follow up with clients to ensure usage and satisfaction
3) Marketing & Brand Visibility
- Participate in activations, events, and community outreach
- Promote KauntaBook in business hubs and trading areas
- Distribute marketing materials and build local partnerships
4) Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate records of leads and conversions
- Submit weekly performance reports
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in sales or marketing (SaaS experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- Confidence in field sales and client engagement
- Basic IT knowledge and smartphone proficiency
- Understanding of bookkeeping/business operations is an added advantage
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and disciplined
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of businesses onboarded
- Monthly active users acquired
- Lead conversion rate
- Revenue generated from subscriptions
