Job Purpose

To provide effective financial management and reporting by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, IFRS, and organizational policies, while supporting budgeting, tax compliance, audits, and financial analysis to enhance overall business performance and decision-making.

Certificates & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, or a related field.

Must hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (Uganda).

Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial or tax management; experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.

Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of SAP ERP is preferred.

Physically fit and able to perform demanding work responsibilities.

Good professional integrity with no adverse employment or criminal record.

• Develop and implement financial management policies, systems, and procedures in compliance with regulations.
• Prepare, monitor, and analyze annual, monthly, and capital budgets to support business performance.
• Ensure financial transactions comply with IFRS and organizational policies.
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend process improvements.
• Manage tax compliance, statutory filings, and liaise with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Carry out other finance and administrative responsibilities as assigned by management.
