Job Purpose
Responsible for financial management, budgeting, procurement oversight, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls. Ensures prudent utilisation of resources, transparency, accountability, and value for money in all financial and procurement operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial management systems.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor cash flow, expenditures, receivables, and payables.
- Manage payroll processing and staff payments.
- Support project budgeting, costing, and financial tracking.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management.
Statutory Compliance and Controls
- Ensure timely submission of statutory obligations including PAYE, NSSF, VAT, WHT, and income tax.
- Maintain strong internal control systems and accountability mechanisms.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Monitor financial risks and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Procurement and Contract Management
- Coordinate procurement planning and sourcing processes.
- Ensure transparent and competitive procurement practices.
- Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and vendor performance.
- Ensure procurement activities achieve value for money and comply with approved procedures.
- Maintain procurement and asset records.
- Monitor inventory management and fixed asset utilisation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is mandatory.
- Training in procurement and supplies management is an added advantage.
- Membership with a recognised professional body is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in finance, accounting, or procurement.
- Experience in consultancy, engineering, construction, or project-based environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, audits, statutory compliance, and procurement management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
