Job Summary:
ICS seeks to hire a competent and motivated Hydrologist with 3–5 years of relevant professional experience to support water resources planning, hydrological analysis, and environmental assessments within an engineering consulting environment. The successful candidate will contribute to project design, data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring compliance with applicable technical standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrological assessments including rainfall–runoff analysis, flood modelling, catchment analysis, and water balance studies.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret hydrological and meteorological data.
- Support design of drainage systems, flood control structures, and water resource infrastructure.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for project submissions.
- Participate in field investigations, site inspections, and stakeholder engagements.
- Ensure adherence to quality, environmental, and safety standards within project delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver timely and high-quality outputs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in hydrological studies or water resources projects.
- Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modelling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar).
- Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Membership or progress toward professional registration is an added advantage.
