About the role

Purpose

The Investment Analyst is responsible for conducting financial and market analysis to identify investment opportunities, support portfolio management, and provide actionable insights to clients and management. The role contributes to optimizing portfolio performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal benchmarks, and supporting strategic investment decisions across the company’s investment products.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Market Research

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of potential investment opportunities.
  • Perform in-depth market research to identify emerging trends and strategic investment areas within the financial sector.
  • Evaluate financial statements, market data, and economic indicators to support investment decisions.

Client Advisory & Relationship Management

  • Develop and deliver actionable investment recommendations based on thorough analysis.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and performance reviews.
  • Provide clients with clear, insightful explanations of portfolio performance and market developments.

Portfolio Monitoring & Compliance

  • Oversee assets under management across diverse investment products.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal benchmarks.
  • Support risk assessment and compliance monitoring within the investment portfolio.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual research and performance reports for all funds under management.
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making by management and clients.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in investment analysis, portfolio management or financial research.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of investment markets and financial instruments.
  • High attention to detail and report-writing ability.
  • Progress toward a professional qualification (e.g. CFA) is an added advantage.
